This bilingual collection features five compelling stories presented in both English and Japanese on facing pages. It includes two traditional Japanese folktales—Urashima Taro and Yuki Onna—followed by three 20th-century short stories: "The Spider's Thread" by Akutagawa Ryunosuke, "The Siblings Who Almost Drowned" by Arishima Takeo, and "Gauche the Cellist" by Miyazawa Kenji.
