KAKIMONO Has Launched

In April 2026, we launched KAKIMONO.

KAKIMONO is a bespoke bookbinding brand that creates one-of-a-kind books using Japanese textiles, including Nishijin-ori, for their covers.

Working with textile makers and bookbinding artisans across Japan, we create books, albums, notebooks, and other pieces that bring out the unique character, craftsmanship, and story of each textile.

Alongside personal commissions for those wishing to preserve a meaningful book or memory in a special form, we also collaborate with hotels, bookstores, and other businesses and institutions.

The beauty of Japanese textiles and the skill of Japanese craftsmanship, brought together in a single piece.

Through KAKIMONO, we hope to create new stories born from the meeting of a book and a textile, and to share them with people in Japan and around the world.
