Shipping Method
Orders are shipped via Japan Post.
International shipping is currently in preparation.
Delivery
As all KAKIMONO products are made to order, production begins only after your order has been confirmed. Please allow approximately 4 to 5 weeks for production. Once your item is completed, it will be shipped promptly.
After shipment, you will receive a confirmation email with your tracking number. You may use the tracking number to check the delivery status through Japan Post’s tracking service.
For parcels shipped via Yu-Pack, you may also request redelivery or change the delivery date and time through Japan Post’s service.
Shipping Fees
Domestic shipping within Japan is included in the product price.
International shipping fees will be provided separately once available.
Sending Your Own Materials (Books / Kimono Obi Fabric)
If you wish to send us your own book or kimono obi fabric, we will provide the shipping address by email after your order has been confirmed. Please wait for our instructions before sending your materials, and send them freight collect.
- Please pack your items carefully and securely. We cannot be held responsible for any damage or loss during transit.
- Depending on the condition of the item, we may not be able to accept it. We recommend contacting us in advance.
- We are currently unable to accept materials sent from outside Japan.
- If you have any questions regarding customer-supplied materials, please contact us by email.
If the Delivery Holding Period Has Expired
If you are not available at the time of delivery, the shipping carrier will leave a notice of attempted delivery. Please collect or arrange redelivery within the designated holding period.
For Yu-Pack deliveries, parcels are generally held at the delivering post office for 7 days. If the parcel is not received within that period, it will be returned to the sender.
Your order may be returned to us in the following cases:
- The parcel is not received within the holding period
- The shipping address is incomplete or incorrect
- Delivery cannot be completed due to an extended absence or similar reason
If a parcel is returned to us, we will contact you to discuss the next steps.
- Even for fully paid orders, parcels that cannot be delivered or received will be returned to us.
- If you request reshipment, you will be responsible for the actual shipping cost.
- Depending on the circumstances, we may not be able to arrange reshipment.
- If extended absence, non-receipt, or repeated reshipment occurs, we may restrict future orders at our discretion.
International Shipping
We are currently preparing to offer international shipping.
